I will be using an iPhone 5 and the Q10 on the iPhone data plan.

I'm pretty sure that even if they were available, the iPhone will not be able to use the NFC

Is the iPhone 5 the only phone that uses a nano-sim?

Apple wants to be so exclusive!
This coming from an iP5 owner.

Use the micro sim, everybody catches up.. time for the nano sim! That's what I call innovation, Apple.

    I drives me nuts.

So the OP finally told us it's an i5. The nano SIM should be LTE and probably doesn't have NFC payment features. It can be used in the Q10 with an adapter but some people have damaged their BB10 device using the adapter. The nano SIM can be used without an adapter if you very carefully position it. I wouldn't do that as a bump of the Q might cause the SIM to move which could short something out.

I don't know if there is such a thing as an iPhone plan unless it is a standard 4G+LTE without mobile payment.

Yes. They're trying to make it an industry standard, but nobody's biting
