Normally when I send a text, I have no problem. Click send and it's gone or I assume so.

A couple of times, I have noticed that after I have sent a text and assumed that it has gone out I will find out that the text didn't go. I will see a RED 'X" in the upper left corner of the text message.

Why do I get that? What's causing the text from failing to go out? Today I saw a failed text message. After the 2nd attempt in sending the same text, it finally went out. What gives?

Since it works sometimes, but not others, it eliminates any setup/config on your side. Your issue lies with your carrier

I'm using Verizon, but not sure what to even ask or say if I were to call Verizon. Thanks.

Tell them what is going on. They will likely send a signal to your phone to refresh the tower lists and such. This usually fixes the problems. It updates your PRL, or preferred roaming list. Its basically a list of cell towers and related config info

What is your OS? I have the 1925 leak and I cannot send long texts. If it's close to the full character limit, or split into two I will get general failure. I am with Sprint. It has to be a combination of carrier and OS for now
