On my 9780 I was able to return to the home screen during a phone call - to go to my contacts, make a note or whatever - and then back. I can't figure out how to do this on the Q10 and it sure is frustrating. I'm sure this has been asked before but I couldn't find anything about it. Can anyone help with this? Thanks in advance for any info. Also, I keep ending calls in mid-conversation by accidentally brushing up against End Call on the screen (yeah, it's my first touch screen phone). Am I the only one this happens to?

just swipe the call away like an app i do it all the time when im on call and browsing the web at the same time

Just swipe up from the bottom of the screen, just like you would minimize any other application.

I know what he means. The sensor that thinks he is holding the phone next to the ear blanks out the screen. Very annoying.

Yes, it is annoying. I'll usually get the screen back after a bit but I'm never sure what it was that I did that worked to bring it back.

Being a seven year BlackBerry user, I have to say out of all the models I've used, the Q10's phone app has been the most frustrating. I just know my husband will be fighting the urge to smash it when he needs to make or receive a call. Thankfully, he avoids contact with the Other as much as possible...so for now, my Precious is safe.
