The Q10 I bought a few months ago came with an extra battery. A charge can last me a solid 3 or 4 days as I'm far from a power user, so having an extra battery ready to roll doesn't benefit me.

I have run into battery issues with my past Curves though, so having this extra battery ready in the future will be do me good. I'm just curious about how I should store it. Should I do an initial charge and leave it be, or is it fine being kept in its original packaging until the day comes?

    Thanks!

With my Z10 I charge my extra batter once or twice a week in my battery bundle.

You keep it in a drawer, half-charged. That's all.
If you have the charger bundle, don't store the battery in it.

Yes 40%-60% and of course keep it at room temperature, I'm not sure about the freezer trick for lithium battery.

    Thanks.

No charger bundle, so I'll pop it into my Q10 today when I get home.

Should I fully charge it first, then use it until it's at 50% or so, or just charge it up to that point?

I store my Pre3 batteries at 60% in the fridge, in a container of rice (uncooked, lol, to keep down any moisture).

The batteries are about 4 years old and still strong.
