I've been a forever BlackBerry user and just recently got the Q10.

However, I have been quite challenged changing the settings of this one from my 9900. Switching devices (contacts, etc) was easy but i can't seem to customize by phone. Can anyone help me on the following:

    1. Can I change the font? Theres a page for me to change font size but not the specific font.
    2. Is there a way to wake the screen using the keypad? I discovered you can wake it up by scrolling on the bottom screen to the middle, but can I use the keys, like the 9900?
    3. My twitter seems to take forever to load, it hasn't loaded since I got it actually, should i delete and reinstall or any other way to make it respond?
    4. How can I delete twitter friends from my contacts? Since I logged in my Facebook account I had all my Facebook friends included so I had to uninstall to clear my phonebook. Now since I kept twitter, all my twitter friends (who I don't have mobile numbers of) are also on my phonebook. Any advice?
    5. Most important, can I change my message setting to white? On my inbox, messages does appear on white, but when I click on the message, the message thread appears with black background. I find it difficult for my eyes reading on black background. Can I change this?

Any inputs, ideas, replies would be very much appreciated.

1: you currently cannot change the font but I think after a few OS updates you eventually will be able to
2: pressing the 12 keys on the left side of the keyboard does that : q,a,alt,123456789

    5. No it is currently not possible to change the message threads to white on the Q10, The dark theme is actually exclusive to the Q10 since it helps save power because of the AMOLED screen, maybe they might add the choice to switch between that and the white theme seen in Z10 and Q5 in the future updates

I have a very basic but troubling issue with my Q10. Since i've bought it, the text messages after a couple of hours of usage stop refreshing. I always have to reboot manually or do a hard reboot in order for new messages to arrive. Similarly, read text messages appear as unread, even after deleting them, the link still remains on the hub and in text messages. Same is the case with Facebook notifications. I had no such issues with my previous bold 9900. Growing increasingly frustrated. I have the latest version of the OS 10.1.0.2309 that i downloaded three days back but the problem persists. I have wiped the data many times, and have not installed any back up. HELP...

Hmm, really strange. I have none of your issues. Have you tried installing the 4285 leak. I am using it as I type and it is very stable, it has very good battery life and I really have no problem with it .

To the OP: you can wake the phone by pressing the button at the top. I have the flip shell case which does it for me with the clasp.

Can't help you with Twitter as I don't use it. As for the black theme, yes, it's an exclusive Q10 feature. Only email shows up as black text on a white background, everything else is white on black. Personally, I prefer the black theme and I wish I could switch email to it. But I do hope that soon we'll have the option to customize the look of our phones.

I can't see the attachment, so I'm not sure what your screen shows, but the second option on my phone is to change the font size, not the actual font.

Your right I was referring to font size only. I could have paid more attention to the question.

My hub is in white, so are the mails and texts. But when I open the text message it turns to gray with white text. Do you have the same case or are your texts also in white and black font? Checked my OS and I'm still on 10.1.0.238. How do I update this?

    Hi csteotico!

This just might be the answer youre looking for.

You may now create cɵɵŁ ʍЄʂʂǺgЄʂ, uʍop ǝpısdn ǝʇıɹʍ and much much more using Fonts. Its compatible across all platforms and can be easily shared to Twitter, Facebook, BBM or SMS.
