    Hey everyone.

So I just got my new Q10. I already set everything up on my Q10 manually and I did not do a device switch from my 9900.

However, there is some important info on my old phone that I need to get (memos, passwords), but I can't access the phone without signing into BBID first. The problem is the cell radio and wifi are off, so when I enter the password it says that it is incorrect. And I can't bypass the BBID screen to turn on the cell radio or wifi.

Can someone help me out here? All I need to get off my old phone are the memos and passwords from Password Keeper.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Do you forget your BBID password?
Do you remember which email address you use for the BBID?
Did you use BB Protect in your Bold 9900?

I'm assuming you already tried using Linc, but didn't want to do the device switch method.

I'm not sure if the old Blackberry Protect (on 7.1) backed up memos and passwords... but, you can try using the one-time 'restore' feature to transfer whatever was last backed up to your Q.

The BBID I am entering is 100% correct.

Yes, I did use BlackBerry Protect. I downloaded the new Password Keeper on my Q10, but when I try to import my old passwords by entering my BBID, it says that no backup file can be found.

How do I use the one-time restore feature? What does it restore - everything, or only things that I select?

I'm not sure if it let's you select items or if it just dumps everything it has. But you access it via the BlackBerry Protect menu on Settings.

    Thanks AnimalPak200!

Does anyone know if it restores everything, or if you can selectively restore?

Glad it worked, good for you.
Did it restore everything including the memos and the data inside Password Keeper?

It restored everything - there is no way to selectively choose what gets restored. Memos went into Remember, and Password Keeper required me to input my old password, and then the list was restored.

Also, some of my local contacts were added, but I erased them since I have been using my Hotmail contacts instead. Also, bookmarks and calendar entries also got restored.
