I have a Q10. Use it for email, social media, Web browsing--don't watch movies. And, have an IPAD. Could join my wife and kids and switch to an IPhone, OR possibly switch to the Keyone. Except for battery life, Q10 as been great. Any advice?

I was 2 days with the keyone but I couldn't withstand the android mess. I just ordered a refurbished q10. Now I know , if you cannot stand with android , keyone will not change it.

I came from Android to Q10 now I waiting (Switzerland) for my K1. Hope the HUB runs like Q10. The rest are apps like I used it before and during Q10. I'll give you some experience after 6th of June.

Another 'key' difference (sorry... ) is size:

    Q10: 120 x 67 x 10mm (80cc), 139g (approx)

    K1: 149 x 72 x 9mm (93cc), 180g (approx)

    Passport: 128 x 90 x 9mm (104cc), 196g (approx)

Two completely different prospects in terms of handling and portability. The KeyOne is much closer in terms of weight, and slightly closer in terms of bulk, to the Passport, than it is to the Q10.

Personally, that makes it a non-starter, although I'd love to go back to another capacitive keyboard.

PS Kevin, has your Q10 had a new battery recently? The original batteries (and maybe even first replacements) in these phones will be tired by now. Genuine ones are dirt cheap now, I just got a new charging bundle on eBay for about £6 delivered.

Thanks to all for this advice. Have ordered a new battery for my Q10 to get me by until I can further evaluate the Keyone...would love to discover the Keyone will be a workable next tool for me...

I'll be making the switch in a few days. I'd be happy to give you feedback, if you are still interested.

My device should be in later this afternoon (a day early, at that). I can tell you using Android (I have the Priv and a DTEK50) requires something of a learning curve. It is not quite as intuitive as BB10 or BBOS, but it is quite customizable, which I really love. The Hub is also not quite as fluid on Android, but has grown leaps and bound since November of 2015.

Compared to the Q10, the keyboard is slightly cramped--but nothing compared to my Priv (and I adjusted to that). And regarding the backlighting, my B key is dimmer in comparison, but then again, my Q10 and 9700 aren't entirely even, either (so I am inclined to believe that is normal).
