Hello My Crackberry frindzz,
i don't know if there is already a topic like this or not but i just want to share my thoughts after my bold 9900 died i had to wait for some time has Q 10 was not available and was using android phone till then but when i got my q10 i was very happy but time went and i started missing my BB 9900 don't know why reason???...
any ways i just posted this topic to know how many of you miss your old Blackberry after getting any bb10 device..

I am the one that agrees with you. I enjoy the trackpad and simplicity of BB7. I don't enjoy the reboot times and the stupidity in resetting a device after app upgrades and installs.

I'm picking up a 9900 today. It was 50 bucks. Couldn't pass it up.

I felt like I missed the 9900 but when I go back to it (wife still has one) I don't really miss it. It still works good and is easier to use. Everything is right there but the browser experience is sure not there. Seems like using a 9900 is more relaxed and not so much frantic swiping. Lol. This is the future I guess so I have learned to embrace it. I'm kinda stubborn like that I won't put it down till I get it figured out. Have most things working well now.

I liked the 9900 better, cos it was slim. The Q10 is kinda thick and feels huge in your hand.

I agree. Have had the Q10 for ages now and still not happy. Each upgrade seems to get worse not better. Don't like it. But can't upgrade for another 2yrs so guess I'm stuck with it. But not impressed. Especially when everyone else has apple and seems to do everything the BlackBerry can't! Why don't apple have keypads?! not happy with BlackBerry atm.

Sell your Q on ebay and buy a 9900. They are cheap on ebay and no contract extension or upgrade necessary.

I still have my 9900 so I don't miss it. Lol. But seriously I don't consider the 9900 to be in the same league as the Q10. I like the Q10 better. But that doesn't mean the 9900 wasn't a great device. It was excellent when it wanted to be. But unfortunately the 9900 has little to no future moving forward, whereas the Q10 and BB10 are ever changing and getting better all the time. I'm running 10.2.1.1925 leak and I don't think I'll ever look back at my 9900 again.

I have an odd feeling that nothing is actually wrong with your phone. Perhaps a trade in for an iPhone is in order. Do what makes you happy. Just a friendly suggestion.

Also, pickup an iPhone if you want Apple. Pickup the Typo keyboard for your iPhone and you will have exactly what you're looking for.

There are plenty of ways to get around being stuck in contract.

You pose an interesting thought. But wouldn't performance, security, better reliability serve as a reason; and affordability?

Maybe those are long already considered by laggards if you will accept the term, and just 10.2.x is being waited on for global release.

Naaa! Q10 is way better than the 9900 which I thought was a great phone, but the Q has better battery life, 9900 was woeful with the battery and crashed a whole lot! Better performance and speed on the Q and BB10 feels like a proper OS, BBOS7 is like DOS once you leave the home screen, I could never figure out why.......this said, I do miss the flatness and that metal rim.

I had my 9900 for months without it having to be powercycled and the Web browser was faster than my iPhone 4 Played videos well. Never really had a problem but bb10 browser is smoking fast almost instant unless you hit edge then it doesn't load ****. The compression on edge made it usable unlike bb10 browser

I have a iPhone 5S and a BlackBerry Q10 and I love them both...I'm actually on my Q10 right now posting this, I love it! I got it for a business phone about a week ago and I can't stop using it lol

Love my Q10 but I have three 9900's in reserve. The 9900 was an excellent product and I won't give them up until I feel confident BlackBerry will survive for the long haul.

I bought the 9900 twice and both times got rid of it. The battery life was terrible, the signal strength was weak at my house and the camera was inadequate for close up pictures. I ended up with the 9790 for a year and found it to be a much better device though still short battery life. I then got the Z10 but now have the Q10. It is the best BlackBerry I have ever owned by a large margin.
