Anyone know when the NEW Foursquare will be available for BBQ10? It's called Swarm and I think is already out on iJunk and ADroid's ... of course BlackBerry is last..again!

It won't be. 4Sq on BB10 will continue working but no Swarm. That said, the Android version runs fine anyway.

That's a little sad. Foursquare was a bb10 launch partner. Up on stage and everything.. disappointing they aren't continuing support for the platform.

That said.. what's this swarm thing about? What does it do that the current foursquare app doesn't? I thought a swarm was just when more then 50 people checked in at the same place at the same time.

Foursquare would be for discovering businesses/places and Swarm will be for checking in. Still trying to figure out why they had to split it. I still love the functionality of the old Foursquare. Swarm is kinda dull without the badges and "real" mayorship.

Sounds like I'll be happier continuing to use the current foursquare app the way it is.

And they (4sq) also said that the Foursquare app will still handle check-in's, - so no need for Swarm app to have access to the services you already have.

Swarm app seems to work pretty well. Probably no real need for a native except that you can't launch the foursquare app from within swarm.

So after using swarm for a while I'm left wondering... what's the point if I have to go back to foursquare app to get any useful info?

Deleted it and am sticking with Foursquare app only.
