I've been half @ss killing myself over how to get apps to download on my new Q10, running 10.2.1.2102 I think it's time to ask for help.

I can't download any apps from BlackBerry App World or any apk (from apk train) unless I pull out my sim card, which is not very efficient. I was previously on a BIS plan, thought that might've been the problem, so I called my operator and had my plan switched to a regular data plan. Problem insisted. I've tried battery pull, rebooting a million times, turning on and off various settings mentioned on forums, nothing worked.

When I try downloading apps from BlackBerry App World, an error saying, "Error Installing Application" appears. When I try downloading apk apps, an error saying, "Can't install this app" appears. I can't figure out what other problems may be associated with the sim card except my data plan.

This is giving me a heart burn. I'm really frustrated and one step away from chucking this phone out the window. Any help would be appreciated!

Who is your provider? What program are you using to download apk apps?

I'm using a Taiwanese provider, Taiwan Mobile. I'm not sure if this is a problem.

I'm using APK Train to download the apps because I can't even sideload Snap. When I try installing the Snap bar from Chrome, it just shows an error.

I managed to sideload Snap by pulling out the sim card.

Oh god, why do I have to pull the sim card out for everything. Does anyone have a solution to this? I'm at my wit's end.

Do the clean os installation. That will help.

Once installed, do not restore your data.

I did that but the problem didn't resolve. Same thing, without pulling out the sim card, nothing can be installed. Argh.
