Is there a way to get rid of(delete) the emoticons from a text message or rather from the phone itself? I want to go back to the Q10 from an iPhone. I don't use the smiles/emoticons. Thanks in advance.

Just don't use them. They aren't part of the keyboard and the emoticon button doesn't take up a massive amount of room on screen.

Some ppl don't prefer them & maybe not understand heat they mean in compound use.
