I just discovered how easy it is to cut and paste,,feeling stupid.
When you see the little blue dots,all you have to do is pull it down,it reveals a skinny line which allows you to pr�cicely place the point of it any where you want,your fat fingers well out of the way. Pretty good.

i have mixed feelings about your post: on one side i feel terribly ashamed because i always struggled to select a text on BB10, on the other side your post just made my life easier.
BB10 is really full of surprises! (and i never saw any tutorial on line to explain that kind of things...)

Haha! You sir, really are a *terrible* tease! The awesome 10.2 leak is the only one I've been tempted to try so far, but the (very) patient part of me is still hanging in there...but you sure aren't helping at all.

my problem has always been getting the blobs to appear consistently. Ring, blob, sometimes nothing. It seems quite unpredictable to put it mildly

I 'think' if you tap,you get the ring. If you tap and hold a sec,you get the blobs.

yes that is what is supposed to happen. The reality is somewhat different often. Particularly at the edges of the screen, and in small text fields like the url browser field.

I also think that ring will only appear when you are creating a doc or email ,not when just in a browser link. So it only an edit tool. I've been trying all different scenarios

That's right! 10.2 makes copy and paste usable. It doesn't beat having the trackpad, but makes you forget about it.

thanks for the investigations - I'll just sit here and whine about how they should never have removed the trackpad a while still though
