Turned my new Q10 off last night, plugged it into the charger, but in the morning it does not seem to have charged. Is this normal?

Not normal. Check the connection and the charger. The phone should charge on or off.

I had an issue initially with my Z10 charging cord. When sometimes plugging it into the side of my phone it would not start charging. I would have to unplug it then jiggle it around a little in the socket in the phone to get it to start charging. Don't have that issue now as it has bedded in now so check to see if that might be an issue here. If you plug it in but don't see the charging symbol come up after a few seconds then this might be the issue.

This is not normal, assuming the cable was correctly plugged into the wall.
I would seriously consider an exchange for a brand new unit before you get handed refurbs. My experience with refurb 9930 was not good.

There was a glitch in the Z10 sofware which I don't know if it is fixed for the Q10 or in later software. If you took more than a second and a half to complete plugging in the phone, it would not charge. It was something to do with the timing of how the contacts make connection when plugging it in.

Incidentally, my Q10 didn't charge a couple nights ago, but it was plugged into a Nokia charger and I thought that may have been the problem. It could also have just been the software error I previously mentioned.

My Z10 didn't charge one night but I realized that the charger wasn't plugged into the wall. My PlayBook stopped charging after 10 months and I had to send it in to get fixed.
