    Hi,

I got my Q10 a few days ago and noticed something strange with my phone. I wanted to see if others have this as well: when my phone is locked and screen off (like I pressed power button to turn off screen) to turn the screen on I can press power button or swipe the screen. Also, I noticed that I can wake up the phone (and get to the screen that showed the time and any current appointments on my calendar) by pressing any of the following letters on the keyboard: C, X, Z, S, D, F, W, E, R, or the microphone key. Pressing the keys will not unlock the phone, it will just turn on the screen.
Is this a defect in my phone, or just a software bug? Please check your phone and see if it also does this. BTW - I am running the newest leak: 10.1.0.4867.

    Thanks

I just saw another thread about this issue. yes, it's the numbered keys that turn on the screen. I don't know why the number keys do this, but this happens on all Q10s.

It's great that the number keys wake the screen. I set my top power button to unlock the phone. Use my numbers for wakeup.

I love how there's different options to see/unlock the screen.

But this alone, the ability to make an emergency call just by dialing these the letters (000 in my case in Australia) is a god-send in an emergency.

Im sure other non-physical keyboard phones don't have this ability
