Hello All,

On all my emails the default ink color is a shade of blue instead of the standard black. Does anyone know how I can set the default ink color for email? Many thanks.

It's when sending/replying to any e-mail from the Q10 that the text color defaults to the blue color. I have noticed this myself as well and don't know how to change it.

In 10.2 (not sure about 10.1) you can change it.


in the compose email screen look at the bottom right and you'll see a button with 3 vertical dots, tap that
tap the 2nd option from the top - format
then you'll have the option for Bold, Italics, Underline, Bullet point, numbered list, font size, and color

I thought I wasn't able to until I read this thread and thought.. well i've never tired either, lets see if this works, and voila, it did!

This doesn't change the default color to black. It only changes the color for the current email being sent.

You can also just tap the pen looking icon on the action bar on the bottom, instead of going into the context menu.
