Hello. I am running OS 10.2 on my Q10 and the custom contact notifications keep resetting back to the default sound.

I set the custom notification in the Settings Notifications menu and in the individual contact menu. The notifications stay for a couple days then they just reset back to the default sound on their own.

I have tried a hard reset several times and it still happens.

Any suggestions for a fix?

Try putting your notifications on your device instead of the sd card. That fixed it for me before, or load a newer OS.

This is an issue for me too....beginning from older OSes to 10.2.1. I set custom ringtones for around 15 contacts, then after a few hours, only 8 are left, and continue to disappear in a few days until 1 or 2 are the only ones left.

It does not matter whether the sound is from the device or sd card.

This has been happening to my Q10 about every 2-3 days since I bought it 2 months ago. Has anyone figured out how to stop this from happening?

Are your contacts synced, or on the phone?

My custom sounds, and contacts are on the phone not synced. They never 'reset' for me.

Ok I'll try that. I just moved my contacts to the SIM from my outlook sync.

Kaitlyn, did it work? I guess time will tell. Some of my text tones change back to default as well, yet when I go into the text tone section of that contact it shows up correct

Hi, I have the same problem in 2018 on Z10 STL100-3 soft 10.3.3.1463.

I set “Contact Notifications” and it works for some time (few days) and suddenly it disappears.

Contacts are one SIM card. Maybe I will move those contacts to the phone memory and see what happens.
