I just recently helped my brother in law set up his Q10. I transferred all his data including contacts from his Torch 9810 to the Q10. Everything transferred fine but it said it could take a little while for the contacts to show in the app. That was Friday and it is now Monday and still nothing. When someone texts or calls him it shows their name as though he has them as a contact but still nothing in his contacts. Anyone have an idea of what I should do next?

Did you do a device switch? That should have transferred all his contacts from the Torch to the Q.
Does he has contacts in an online email like yahoo or gmail?

Open the Contacts app, go to the Settings (swipe from the top), check the list in the "Show Account in Contact List".

I used BlackBerry Link first, then after I used the Device Switch app. Everything else switched over fine, except the contacts. He doesn't have them online only locally on his 9810.

So Contact doesn't appear in the list, but you still have it displayed when called...
If you type directly the shortcut : "call" followed by the name of the person you want to contact, does it work ?

Hey guys, just an update: I wiped the phone and reloaded the OS, then restored from a backup and the contacts were there.
