Hey everyone! Recently I had found that my blackberry Q10 was deleting some phone numbers off my contacts. Has anyone incurred a similar issue or no why that would happen? I'm thinking about using my insurance and getting a new phone because it might be a software defect. Let me know what you think! Thanks

    Hi Dan,
    First off, welcome to CrackBerry!
Please update your profile to include device, carrier, and location. This makes it easier for others to help you.

What is your current OS version? If replying on your Q10, just type myver and then a space in the text field to show it.

New software probably won't fix this. Back up your phone, do a wipe and restore. See if that fixes it...

Unfortunately, and ridiculously, BB10 Contacts app is one of the worst app I've ever used - and that includes those annoying apps that do nothing but spam your inbox.

I went to verizon and they said it's a problem with the reading of the sim card for contacts. Turned off sim card contacts going to see if that works better. Apparently it's a universal issue.

Dan they are correct for some reason the sim card contact interfere with your device contacts and seem to cause issues. Had a similar problem on my z10 on Rogers. All is well now though.

Go to the contacts app, swipe down at the top then go to settings. All the way at the bottom offers you the option to manage your sim card contacts
