Bridge connectivity between BB10 and PBOS isn't the same anymore. This has been noted through out the forums since launch of BB10

I don't understand the point then. What incentives do people have to buy a playbook? Now before the Q10 I didn't have a bb for 2 years. How many playbook versions were released? I have the original. Is this playbook going to receive a bb10os?

There are three (ok, maybe 4) PB versions...16MB, 32MB, and a 64MB that were all wifi only, plus a 4G LTE version that was (I think) 64MB. Bridge with OS10 is a LOT different than with OS7 and below...the functionality and linking between a PB and a Q/Z10 is nowhere near as useful for now.

Most of the rumors say that BB10 will be coming to the PB sometime this fall, and hopefully Bridge will again be useful and we will be able to use the PB as a larger screen phone for texts/BBM/email, etc. I'd suggest you check out the PB forums for more on this topic....

I know they came in different sizes. I have the 16gb. What I meant was if they had a playbook 2 but I already looked it up like I should have. I never post without research but this time I didn't feel like it lol. Thank you for the info though!

Yeah, currently the bridge is really only good for using the keyboard on the Q10 and using the internet connection on the Q10... Otherwise it kinda blows in the breeze until / if BB10 comes out on the PlayBook.

The readme basically says if you want your email on the PlayBook, add the email account to the native PlayBook email.

I assume once we get OS10, we will be able to have native BBM too. The only loss then, compared to the BBOS bridge will be bridged texting.

Hopefully OS10 is released for the playbook soon. That would make the playbook a beast tablet all over again. It'll feel brand new again

During the update I'll put it in the original box. When I figure it's done downloading I'll reopen the box and have a "new" playbook lol. Man am I bored
