I'm not sure if this goes in the Playbook or Q10 section, but since it worked on my Torch 9810, I put it here.

I can't 'Internet Tether' my Playbook to my Q10. They are paired via Bridge, and my Q10 shows up under tether devices. But, when I try to connect, it just says 'Not found Please check that: 1. Your device is turn on...".

Is there something I'm missing? It just worked on the 9810.

My guess is that is hobbled, like Bridge is. Not fully functioning. There are a few things that worked on OS7.xxxx, (I have a Torch 9850 and all is sweet,) but with a Z10 and OS10, there needs to be some "assets" applied to fix this, and bring back Bridge like we all know and love......

Some carriers may not permit the tether function.

Try a laptop, or other wifi device to see if tethering works at all. If so, I all wrong.

Edit: you got me curious, dusted off the PB and fired up Bridge. I was able to browse the internet through my Q10.

However, was unable to connect to BBWORLD. I guess Bridge is still the disappointment we have come to know on BB10.

Make sure the phone and PB have up to date Bridge versions?

I use mobile hotspot to connect PB to Q10 to net, rather than internet link or bridge.

Thanks LostOnline for your help, it came to me when you said you have browsed via bridge.

Browsing via bridge works, my problem was: I was trying to use 'original' Internet Tethering function on PB, which I used to tether internet with my old Bold 9780, but this doesn't work with Q10 for some reason.

Hotspot works as well... thanks guys for help

So long as Bridge works, there's no reason to use any other means of communication between a PlayBook and a BlackBerry.

Yea, bridge isn't real Internet. Internet tethering costs a fee for Sprint and let's you do whatever you want. Same with hotspot (which I would use)
