So it doesn't matter which model the Q10 is? Coz I heard there are four models and each support different network frequencies!

The only thing to aware is that lte bands will need to match Hong Kong carriers.

I am using St100-2.Z10 on smartone hk and can access 4G using the Vodafone update 10.0.10.90

    Hope that helps

STL100-2 is the UK version right? So there shouldn't be any problem if I buy a Q10 from UK and use it on Hong Kong's 3G networks?

I think the original commenters are just being douchy. Anyway any phone unlocked can pretty much be used anywhere for phone calls. Data is where it really matters what frequencies your phone can pick up. But where in these days can you not find wifi

For GPRS/EDGE, an unlocked Q10 will work pretty much everywhere. Same goes for 3G/HSPA+ to a lesser extent (i.e. you may buy a Q10 that doesn't support AWS, and find that it won't work on most of T-Mo USA except in 2G).

LTE is the only part where international compatibility is hit or miss.

I am pretty darn sure that it is the same as an att phone. Or the zt10 St100-1. Of course I don't have sources but it's pretty easy to just follow the pattern that phones are released in. And eventually the model compatible with T-Mobile and Verizon follow suite. But remember, phone calls will work internationally if unlocked, data will be a hit or miss.

I thought LTE in Hong Kong is on 2600MHz, same as Rogers in Canada? I am trying to decide which Q10 to get as well, for use mostly in Canada with occasional use in HK.

The thing is none of the leaked Q10 specs show 2600 band for LTE but yet the Q10 has been announced on that frequency at Rogers IIRC so who knows. We will have to wait a bit longer to see.

As far as i know, only one model supports the 2600 band which is the SQN100-3. If the information is correct, then Rogers Canada will carry that model. If that's the case then i will consider buying it unlocked and bring it to HK. (Moving there this summer)

SQN100-3 should correspond to the UK model for Z10 (STL100-2) which works in HK i believe. (Correct me if i am wrong)

According to this List of LTE networks - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia LTE 1800 Mhz should work in Hong Kong too if it's accurate. I asked Smartone Vodafone Hong Kong before and the told me they support these frequencies: GSM 900, 3G UMTS (WCDMA) and LTE 1800 MHz.

Does Rogers offer unlocked phones? I just browsed their page and it seems they are selling both Q10 and Z10 bundled with plans!

No Canadian carrier offers an unlocked phone outright. You can buy it at full price but an unlock code still costs extra.

You can pay the carrier an extra $50 to unlock it for you, or visit sites like cellunlocker.net or even crackberry's own online store which is cheaper. All you do is give them your IMEI and the name of the carrier your phone is locked to. Then insert any non-accepted sim card (doesn't have to be an active sim, as long as it's not from the carrier), boot up the phone, and enter the code.

The thing I notice with Rogers is it only support LTE 1700, I know wikipedia said it should support 2600 as well. But the models from Rogers are STL100-3, and referring back to the Z10 Bands Clear up link which supports no LTE Bands in Hong Kong who uses 1800 and 2600 only.
