    I downloaded the Blackberry Desktop software on my Mac, but the computer does not seem recognize the device when I connect with the USB cable, and I can't open the software. I had become dependent on BB Bold to import photos on IPhoto and transition to Q10 is not easy...:-)

    Did you remove the old BBOS desktop software? What OS is your Mac?

    Also try the right side USB port, the left side port on a couple of the Macbook Airs I have used for work are faulty and don't recognize anything plugged in on that side?

    I currently use a Q10 connected to my MacBook Air.
    What MacOS are you using?
    What version of BB Link did you load up?

    When you connect the Q10 to the MacBook Air it should prompt you to download the correct version of Link.
