you can download stuff from playstore

howeever u can change apk files into BB format for u to try to use but it might do something bad to your device

Nope I dont own a Q10 yet, but from what I seen what people complain and tried, so if u go around and read u will see people trying to do that " search on google * How port android apps to BB 10 * "

I'm confused as to why you are trying to install from the Google play store rather than blackberry world unless you are trying to sideload an app that isn't available in blackberry world?

I think the reason this question got so confusing is that Salue's response was obviously trying to tell the OP they can NOT download from the play store, but Salue had a typo that changed the meaning 180 degrees.

So - again. You can NOT download directly from the play store to your BB. You CAN download from the play store to an android device, and then with various tools take the APK file and repackage it for sideloading. There is no guarantee it will work on your BB, though.

You cant download directly from Google Play..
You need to convert APK files to bar format then ?nstall to your BlackBerry device

You can't go to the play store for android apps.

You can go to BlackBerry World for android apps.

You can side-load android apps by converting .apk files to .bar files at this website:

- http://apk2bar.unker.net

Once converted, you can use a Google Chrome extension to install the .bar files onto your BlackBerry 10 device or PlayBook. Some converted apps work, some don't.

Or you can download a free app called DDPB to install converted apps.

Your BlackBerry 10 device or PlayBook needs to be in "development mode" in order to install converted apps.

I have netflix and instagram on both my BlackBerry 10 devices and they work, but I do not use them. I don't even have accounts for those apps, but I like to show people that they work and if they want to test them, they can try it on my BlackBerry 10 devices, then logout.

You can search crackberry for threads describing how to do the converting and all that you need to know. It is very easy to do once you do it a couple few times.
