Hello,

Going to be picking up a used Q10 from someone. What should I look for, test and make sure is working?

Also, what would come in the box from Rogers?

I bought mine from Rogers, and there's a set of headphones with extra ear pads, charger, and the instruction booklet.

Yes! I once got ripped off for forgetting to test a bb
1) test the keyboard. Open a text and make sure every key works
2) check the battery and back of the phone (with battery door off) for water damage. The little white stickers should, well still be white
3) put your sim card and micro sd card in the phone and check to make sure sms, data, and voice calls all work. Then check the settings to make sure the sd card is recognized
4) make sure the battery does not have any buldges
5) make sure the sound works
6) make sure volume/mute keys work too
7) check the lcd to make sure no dead pixels (open browser and go to a blank white page)
8) this is a very important one: see If he is selling the box and everything inside with it. If no box then it might be a stolen phone so you should check with your carrier to make sure the imei is clean
9) make sure the vibrate and led notification light both work
10) make sure the camera and led flash both work


That's all I can think of right now... um I know the older bbos devices had a hardware test built in but idk about bb10

There's also a piece of paper that says the phone is powered by snapdragon. And a plastic bag that you can use to recyle your old phone.

But the major things of course are the charger and headphones.

The charger comes with the cord (usb-micro usb) that you can also use to plug into your computer.
