I'm from germany. Switching from IOS is like coming from the kindergarden directly to university. Android isn't an option for me at all. I love the q10 maybe I'll get the passport in the near future. But Android BB I don't know...
    Obviously just my personal opinion

I am a rising senior in High School, and just switched from my shiny Galaxy Note to a BlackBerry Q10. It has been an interesting switch, and honestly sometimes I've been embarrassed rocking this phone around my friends, but the truth is I love this thing. I've gotten over the whole "no apps" situation (I'm in the process of applying to the Coast Guard Academy and have been working on SAT review, so not having Snapchat has probably allocated more time for my studies, haha) , and am looking forward to finding out more about this thing. I have a PlayBook that I've had for years, so I'm semi used to the BlackBerry OS, but it's odd going from a giant screen (either PlayBook or Note) to this tiny one...

The only problem I've had is that the battery life is absolutely dreadful. There's nothing off in the Device Monitor (the app using the most battery is the system..), so I'm sort of worried. I think 5 hours would be a very liberal estimate of battery life. I bought two batteries, so I'm pretty sure it's not just one that is screwed up, but it is what it is. Could this be something that gets better in time? This phone was listed as used, but I doubt it was ever really used--its in perfect shape. I bought an OtterBox Commuter case, so it's safe, but switching batteries is a pain and I'm worried about breaking the plastic on the charging port for opening and closing it too much for the "charging bundle"...

Typing on this phone is amazing. I don't think I'd mind writing my college applications on this thing, haha.

    Thank you!

I would really love to say i'm still using it, but I now rely too much on google services and BB10 is simply not enough for my needs anymore. But I still love the phone and it's still one of my favourite BlackBerry devices though. Recently put my SIM card in again sort of as a throwback, also ordered a new set of housing to make it look like new again. I made a throwback video of the phone too. It brings back a lot of memories when i spent my days anticipating the newest leaked OS, converting apk into bar files.

Using AT&T by default. HORRIBLE customer (dis)service and frequent issues that they ignore. 1st they blame the device (especially when it's a BlackBerry! ) and when I point out that same problems have plagued us for 11 years with 26 different cell phone types using six different OS's they then fall back on the excuse that "cellular service isn't 100% reliable"!
Every so often a more energetic level 2 tech will send it up and "create a case with engineering" which always ends up with them saying they don't find any problems.

The only reason I stay is that in the small town we live in the other carriers have even less of a presence. Even the area Wal Mart stores have quit selling T-Mobile at all because they all get returned! No Sprint store either. Just 2 AT&T retail stores plus a kiosk in the local mall. So we make do with what's best in our area and try not to think about quality service... but I DO prefer my Q10 to anything else I am aware of!

Just my $.02, YMMV ! ;-) sent via my Q10

I would post a screenshot but my q10 took a fall and volume down button is not working anymore.
Is there any other way to take a screenshot? I don't really need that feature but it would be nice to know just in case.

Just got a brand new Q10 a few days ago on Ebay. Still a great phone. I switched from an old beat up Q10 to an iPhone SE about a year ago but couldn't pass up on one that was new, sealed and reasonably priced. A true gem in the smartphone world.

I use verizon and when I earned my "upgrade" or whatever they call it I told the rep that I just wanted another Q10 and I'd keep my old one as a backup just in case.

I now have a total of 4 functioning BlackBerry phones dating all the way back to the BlackBerry World device. I did have 5, but one did parish . Tough as nails!

None the less the Q10 is by far the best phoe I've owned!

As I mention on another thread before, I am using a BB Q10 for the first time after all the hyped years, in which I was dreaming to have one, but somehow I always ended up with an Android.

Since I have it now for a whole seven months -don't know how to put it, but- I just love it. Love the keyboard, the screen, the size, the UI, simplicity and design of the way of communication through SMS, e-mail & when needed BBM make it just seem superb to me. I even went back to an iPhone 7 for a while, but just couldn't take it afterwards... So, went right back to my beloved Q10 and passed the iPhone to my mother.

It's only a matter of preference, really. And this is mine. I'll stick with it as long as I am able to.
