Blackberry Q10 battery life troubled!!!-img_20140801_162956.pngMy blackberry Q10 battery life is draining all day and it takes atleast two to three charges in 24 hours. Is it normal? Or is my battery not ok? Or am I doing something I should be doing.

    Hello.
It sounds like it's not normal. Q users report very long battery life. I would check some oft he threads here on saving battery life. Also, how old is the battery? After about a year you can expect to have to replace it for best results...or so I have found.

Battery usage also depends on if you have wifi, how strong the signal is, i9f you have GPS, BT NFC on all the time. Which apps do you have running on your phone? Remember apps don't have to be open to be running. There are about 50 processes that run on any phone at one time...besides the obvious ones....

I've been having the same problems since I updated to 10.2.1.3253 Verizon I get 6 maybe 7 hours out of a full charge My monitor is showing that the CPU is using around 70% of the battery. Right now its saying I have 25% left on my battery with a projected idle time of less then 2 hours left. I had no issues before the update this week

Go to your account options and make sure all your emails are set to sync every 24 hrs or manually

Delete and then re add your email accounts.

    Your PIM consumption is irregular

update: I made a security swipe as I am having a problem with BlackBerry World. no difference, so cannot load updated apps. I noticed that "whatsapp" is not installed. so since I cannot install it 'coz of my problem with BlackBerry World... I saw a significant change in battery life!!! just want to share this as this could be what causes this problem...

Correct me if I am wrong..but Whatsapp has nothing to do with PIM Service..and since you had problems with PIM causing battery drain..i am sure Whatsapp is not the culprit here.

    PIM is for email accounts.

Have you deleted and re added your email accounts?

After doing so wait for a few hours for it to sync properly then your phone should be back to normal.

I actually performed a "security wipe" because of this battery life problem coupled with the force closing of BlackBerry World ;( I only have 2 email accounts before the security wipe, but still the battery problem persist. now because of the BlackBerry World problem, I could not install whatsapp which was not restored when I did the recovery / restored my backup. because of this, I didn't realize the PIM services went back to normal... so that's the story... my theory was whatsapp was the one causing PIM services to eat a lot of battery life...
