I have been trying to find an app that can merge/remove duplicate contacts from my contacts list. After several trial and errors I finally found this Android app Contacts Optimizer which worked perfectly on my Q10.

It not only merges the duplicate contacts, it can also

• Correct and nicely format phone numbers
• Locate potentially incorrect contacts which cannot be dialed
• Find all incomplete contacts that have an important contact field empty
• Clean contacts removing empty fields
• Add international prefixes and country codes where needed

You should try back up pro in BBW it great and you can back up to your sd card, and it does more than just contacts.

Sync up your contacts with a Google account,
remove the contacts account from the phone,

Use your computer to login to the google account, merge and clean the contacts,.
Export to a file, - import into Excel - do all the modifications you want, Import back into Google Contacts

Add the account back on your phone - leave it alone for a few hours -

All contacts should now be cleaned and synced, with no fuzz... and you also have the exported file as a Backup in case anything should happen with your cloud contacts


Or - go look for Windows/OSX apps that can manage and clean the Google Contacts directly...
