Hello, I'm blackberry user from several years to now. My last BB was an amazing BB9900, alongside with my iPhone5 that I use for personal and multimedia purpose.
The major think i do with the BB is communication, that means: BBM and WhatsApp, along with the phone a can use for the day to day for general calling. I don't know why but I can't use the iPhone for basic things like this.
My BB9900 unfortunately fall down to the floor and get broken, now I have to choose:
Should I get my BB9900 again or should i move to the more multimedia focused q10? I already have my iPhone for that (Instagram, Facebook, some whatsapp for my personal life, google maps, ebay, amazon, etc etc etc and pics)
I have another concern: when is going RIM stop the support for bb9900 apps? BBOS for example?
At $300~$350 on ebay for an ATT BB9900, and about 500~550 what would you do?

Get the Q10 and sell your iPhone on ebay to pay yourself back! It's worth it for the cloud features alone. I love being able to seamlessly move files between all cloud storage, my phone, and my computer without the use of multiple apps.

I would definitely recommend you get the Q10 over the 9900. The Q10 imo can handle communication just as well as the 9900. It is faster, has a larger screen, far better camera, way more apps, and an awesome design.

BB as already confirmed that they would continue to support BB7, but that doesn't mean app devs will.

I really think the Q10 is your best bet, that is unless you really want to keep the trackpad and bis.
Other than that though I cant see any other reason not to buy the Q10 over the 9900.

EDIT: Almost forgot to add that with the Q10 you get a mircro hdmi port as well as amazing battery life!

Give the Q10 a shot for a couple weeks. If you don't warm up to it, return it for the 9900.

I just moved from 9900 to Q10. Wasnt so sure for the first few days, but after 2 weeks, I'm loving the Q10. And I'm sure I still haven't learned all the pluses. There are some things that need improved/tweaked in the OS but sounds like 10.2 will take care of some of those things. I say give the Q10 a try. You have 14 days to return if you don't like it.

I'd say ditch both phones for the Q10. Although there will be a slight learning curve, it's worth it in the end.

Keep in mind though that you can't get apps like Instagram without sideloading them, so if you aren't very tech savvy, I'd actually keep the iPhone for multimedia.

Thank you all for your replies, I'm on a Q10 side right now, let me check prices on ebay (unfortunately i cant give a try, I dont live in USA so I have to purchase trough ebay an ATT branded BB and get it unlocked).
Here in Venezuela, there's only 500mb plans for Blackberry, or the new blackberry doesn't have to be activated on the BB plans?

Nope. All BB10 phones run on normal smartphone plans.

My friends swear by the trackpad.

But i've made the change. Have been a BlackBerry user for the past 8 years. Of course I miss BIS, but why not give the Q10 a try as BlackBerry redevelops itself? Hope BIS comes to the Q10 though, but highly doubt it

I've had mine for a few weeks now and don't even think about the track pad anymore. Q10 is so much quicker to use after you get use to it and know how it works.

I miss the trackpad in a serious way. Productivity has suffered because of difficulty selecting and editing text....and if it's a selection that's larger than what can fit in a single screen...well that's pretty well impossible. Sorry folks...my opinion is that for a productivity workhorse, you need a trackpad.

Get the Q10! Never go backwards with tech. I would advise you to keep the iphone until you knew you liked the Q10 enough.
