My Q10 battery life has been consistently good with each OS that I have installed. All of the sudden, may battery began to drain in front of my eyes. I went over all of the changes that I had made this morning around the time that I noticed the dramatic battery drain.
After a bit of experimentation, I discovered that the culprit is.....




Google Talk




It apparently logs out and gets caught in some kind of a loop trying to log back in. Even when I check save password and log in automatically, it for some reason forgets the password. I have not established whether it drains as dramatically when it is logged in properly but can confirm that my battery which usually lasts for at least 12-13 hours was drained in 3.5 hours with Google Talk attempting to log in. When I unchecked log in automatically, the problem ceased.

yes my gtalk doesnt stay logged in on my Z10 either. It doesnt seem to cause battery drain though. Its annoying to be logged out!
