    No, it's not that bad.

Backup, power off your phone, connect to pc and reload firmware. After this finish initial setup and restore from backup. Do NOT restore accounts and settings!!

After that add your accounts again and after initial sync your battery life should be normal again.

This will cost you a few hours all in all. That's the ****ty bit.

I'm sorry but what's in it when you said 'do not restore accounts and settings'? Aren't these included when doing a back-up?

Here's my battery's graph. Got 100% charged 90 mins ago. I'm on excellent H+ reception. And have a frustrating 6 hrs batt life left.
The screenshots you posted are not useful. You have to choose "Last 24 hours" in the top-right corner. And take screenshots of what's under the graph too.

Yes, but you can do a selective restore. Exclude these from restore and add them manually. The settings restoring process is prone to give errors. Untick the last option in restore menu as shown below.

If it isn't useful FOR YOU then no need to post about it. I know that period is short but my intention there is to show how long/short my battery life is.

Thanks! You more 'useful' than that arrogant guy up there who treats all battery-related posts as inquiries directed to him.

I assume these are accessible via BB Link, right?

    Mouhahaha ! Thank you
Reload the OS is a temporary solution (and only if an app is the culprit), as the issue lays either in the way you use your phone, either in an app or hardware failure. By the way, you will be always welcome to post about this issue in a near future

You may want to live a more human life away from your phone and stop trolling around as a behind-the-keyboard expert, asking for graphs and what-nots even though a person is just sharing an experience and not looking forward to your unwarranted, unwanted, self-glorifying posts. This is an online community of devoted and fanatic BB users and not a stress-harbouring customer service centre.

Ok, you had a high PIM services last time, but all seems alright now. You System is quite high though. Did you enable encryption in the last week ?

Anyway, I advise you to reset the estimated battery left first. It's easy enough. Power off your Q10, pull out the battery and let the cover open. Connect your phone to the wall (not your computer) and switch it on (without the battery). Wait a little, and then disconnect your phone, put the battery and the cover back. Switch on your phone. Done.

By the way, when the battery is out, take the time to watch it and check for bumps. How old is it ?

I just did that. I don't know exactly how old the phone is, I bought it about 3 months ago and it wasn't exactly new then. How do I check?

Well, you can't really know how old it is... Except if you have the bill The OS keep uptime stats, but I guess the phone was Security wiped.

If, let's say, 2 days after the estimated time left reset, your issue is still there, you can buy a new battery. You can have an official battery with the bundle charger for $15 on Amazon.

At work my Q10 is continuously connected to the battery charger even when the device is completely charged. Can this affect the battery in anyway?

If the phone is power off, no problem.

But if you use it, while charging, it's bad. You give the phone "false" metrics data on usage and the battery will loose quickly its estimated life left. The worse is that your battery can heat, and heat is the enemy for a lithium ion battery.
It's ok to do so for short period of time (in the car or while you enable the hot-spot feature for example), but not in the long run.

And if you disconnect it to use it and reconnect it after, it's worse. Your battery as a limited number of cycle before loosing definitely its maximum charge. You must train your battery by doing full charge to 100%. After the 30 first cycles, it's recommended to drain your battery before charging to full again.

The Q10 battery can last the day on medium usage (mine can last 18h), and much more if I don't play games (more than 2 days) :

Why the need to keep it connected ?

I did think it would not be good for the battery. Its just that at work one tends to ignore it with multitasking and all. Either ways will try to change it. Thanks!
