My level was at about three quarters full, I had to briefly remove the battery to put a sim card in, and now my battery suddenly shows red icon zero charge with warning leds. Seems to still have lots of life as I have been using it at zero for hours! How can I reset this?

I have come across this too when you pop out the battery. To avoid this, you need to properly power down the phone before removing the battery, otherwise this glitch happens. At least that's what I've concluded with the testing I've done.

This has happened to my Developer Alpha C as well. But I fixed it with a reboot.

I'm pretty sure I powered it down first. Mmm. I'm gonna try a fully charged spare battery.

So I ran the battery down to dead, gave it a full charge and it's bacl to normal.

Never had that problem on my Q10 and switch batteries every other day

Q10, 9900, 9780, 8330, 7520, 7510 And Playbook!

I switch batteries every day (at lunchtime, when my first Q10 NX1 battery is dead) and have never had this issue with the replacement battery.

However. I will be sure to power down the phone before removing it from now on.
