Hi guys anyone else having issues with the battery draining quickly since upgrading to the latest version of bb10?

If so is there anyway to fix this?

    Thanks

Generally after an upgrade the system works a lot harder for a while. This is the reason the battery goes down quicker for a while. People agree; it settles down to a normal level. Give it time it will be ok. It doesn't need you to do any fix.

Or... give it time, you'll get used to the drain.

Did you open BBM after you installed the new OS ? there is a license aggrement that you need to access on BBM, and if you don't do that, not sure why but the battery drain like crazy, in 5 hour I went from 100 % to 5 %, that never happened with my q10 before, I though my battery was dying, but then I recharged it back at 100 % and wanted to contact someone via bbm to explain my situation and as soon as I accepted my license, everything went like it suppose to, my draining stopped (and we could see that through device monitor, there was a lot of battery drain until I accept my license).

Coincidence ? I don't think so, but it's something to look for.

Hi guys, thank you all for your response!

I updated this a few days back and this only started happening since yesterday!

How long does it take before the system gets back to normal?

Typically 5 days, remove that battery and place it back into the phone. Remember your OS is indexing a ton of info while it settles but it has never taken more than 5 days to get back to normal unless the release had a drainage issue to begin with.

T-Mobile reps tread lightly this is how I got fired http://forums.crackberry.com/news-ru...7/index17.html

Just lol. 5 days to settle!? I don't know how you concluded this.. but it's not normal. I updated twice and didn't had to wait days to 'settle'. Maybe few minutes-hours.

OP, post 2 screenshot of Device Monitor (battery tab and CPU tab)

I had the same thing on my last update to 10.2.1. Battery was fine for 3 days then 2 days of fast battery drain. Then back to normal.
