Hi, I have few question regarding BG running apps, I have q10, I have installed viber, but the problem is when I close the viber by pressing the x button on the lower right, and I go to task manager there is a BG running apps, and when I close it, i must be ok right? there should be no BG running apps already, BUT after for few minutes 3-5mins or 10mins, it automatically runs back in BG running apps.

is there an apps or way to stop the auto run by fully controlling the BG running apps?

I've seem some android apps going headless when you close them with the "X", but not when you swipe left.

Other seem to be running in the backgroung waiting for anything to notify.

You can sometimes close then with an android app (ghost commander), but not the BlackBerry app manager.

I'm still looking for the full logical picture. So thanks for asking, and let see what other people think...

Hi, Can I ask how can you use ghost commander to stop some BG running apps. I try to go to apps>"select app">manage.. I try to stop the notification. but still same. if I try to force stop or force close, I don't know if there would be an error or something.

This is in BlackBerry World. Very straightforward little app. Works for me.

Edit: no, some Android apps are killed only to restart automatically after a while. So in hindsight, this is also not a solution.

It is, you can just tap x or hold the x down which should completely kill the app

The whole app stays open, or it stays open in the background?

The background, sorry, I wonder if it's some part of an headless app that would be doing this...

Hi, I'm trying to find some solution to this, using snap app by downloading task killer and etc. but of course I have to be cautious about this. I found one solution which close the BG apps, but it doesn't work 100% always. When I'm using viber, even if it closes or press X, it's still run in background, What I do is I go to viber>tap sub menu, and exit/signout, then I go to task manager and kills it. this doesn't work in every apps. Like for example I have k9mail, android app, I don't know how to exit it. But Still I hoping someone can help us to kill headless BG running apps.

Thanks you're correct. After killing the Android apps with Task manager, when I go back after a while some restarted automatically.
