I know there are a topic with a similar name, but it is not the same problem.
I have some problems with the auto-correct on my Q10 compared to my 9900.
Let me give you an example: I am from Denmark and our capitals name is Copenhagen. In Danish that is Kbenhavn. Obliviously is a special character that hides behind the letter o. When I want to type Kbenhavn on my 9900 I just type Kobenhavn and it auto-corrects to Kbenhavn. However the Q10 does not do that - there I have to hold O and then select or double-press L which will make an .

I have tried removing all other languages than Danish, tried adjusting all other settings and so on - does any of you know if it is possible to get it to auto-correct like the 9900?

If you haven't already tried this -
    Settings > Language and Input
    Text Input > Input Language.
I would set Language Detection OFF and select only Danish in Enabled Languages.

If that doesn't work, try it with Language Detection ON.

Also try with switching on Word Prediction.

    All the best.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. Unfortunately it did not solve the problem. However, I googled around, and in message settings within the hub (and not in the settings app) you can allow special characters. After that, I had to de select and select Danish again, and now it works.

The other option you've got is the word substitution in the language and keyboard settings. Go into "language and input" in your settings and then select "prediction and correction." you should see this screen (look at the bottom of the photo):
    Auto correct on the Q10?-img_00000055.png
After that, select "word substitution" and follow the instructions to add what you're looking for as a substitution.

If that doesn't work, post back and I'll look around to see if there is any other way of helping you out.
