Never had it before but it has happened to me twice too since 10.2.0.1443. It just happened a few seconds ago while my phone was on the table and I happened to see the red LED light and reboot in action. I suspect it's not a loose battery since the phone was just on the table and nothing was moving it.

exactly, but it was last time it happened to me (so for a whole week from my post)

Is anyone's Q10 experiencing the infamous "random reboot" problem?

Or is it the Z10 only?

Mine was rebooting at least 7-8 times a day recently, I wiped it last night and did a restore and have been fine since. I think it had to do with the fact that I kept switching between the Z10 and the Q10. I say this because when the phone started the wipe process the screen that comes up (sim card icon with the progress circle) was in rectangular format top to bottom of the screen and not taking up the fullscreen. All is well now.

I swear mine randomly reboots about once a week usually about 5 minutes after opening a thread about reboots. You'd think I'd have learned my lesson.

I am on VZW and it reboots. Never happened on my Tmobile Q10.

I am running 10.2.1047. It happens when I put it on a table. I'm also using an older BlackBerry USB plug which I definitely notice a difference in charging time.

My Q10 has met this situation, especially when I slightly put down the phone on the desk or it is impacted slightly by hand. So I have to be careful to put down it. I think it does n't matter with the battery, maybe the Software version. Any idea about it?!
And look forward to official version 10.2!
My Software version is 10.1.0.4181, OS is 10.1.0.4633!

i have had it happend on 2 occasions that I know of in the last 3 weeks. Hardly excessive, but annoying as my previous q10 that had to go back witha keybaord fault never did it once.

I've experienced this for several weeks now. At first maybe once to thrice a week. Then it started happening more often. Then I noticed, it happened more when I had my spare battery on (I have the spare batt & charger pack). It rarely happens with the original battery that came with the phone.

I even got the spare battery replaced but no go. It still continued to happen.

I'll try an OS reload today. I hope I don't have to get this "fixed" again. ("Fixed" here in Rogers Canada could either be a) sent out to Rogers/BlackBerry for service or b) Pay $35 charge to get a new/refurb replacement phone sent in)

I am already on my second Q10.

I have had a Q10 for about a month. Using Verizon. It seems to have just started rebooting after light impact or just setting it on a table. I don't recall this happening until a few days ago.

Sounds like your issue has to do with the battery not making tight enough contact. Fold a small piece of paper and wedge it next to your battery son that bit puts pressure on your battery towards the contacts. This should solve your issue.

I've been having constant issues with my Q10 rebooting on impact, finally slid a piece of business card against the battery to apply some additional pressure, running on a full week without a reboot. Thats awesome, since it would reboot half a dozen times daily before.

I just wanted to chime in to say that mine is not randomly rebooting. The last time I rebooted mine was on Oct. 26 5:30 PM when I installed an SD card. I'm running the official 10.2 release.

This must be the curse of the re-boot thread as now it happened to my Q10! I noticed the battery has tabs on the contact side that hold it place so I question the loose battery scenario. I pulled the battery and cleaned the contacts and so far no re-boot from setting it on a hard surface. could it be that there is some corrosion happening at the contacts so when it gets bumped and the contact point moves slightly to where there is corrosion and breaks the circuit?

I put a piece of folded paper in between the top of the battery and the case. It definitely pushes down on the spring loaded connections and my Q10 hasn't rebooted since. I must say this would have to be considered a defect and BB should replace the phone or whatever is needed to keep the phone working properly without a piece of paper wedged in it!!

Agh mine rebooted after my colleague took a look at my Q10 and once he placed it back down on the table, it did. Since then, i've had the reboot problem everytime I placed my phone down slightly rough. Definitely a QC problem with BlackBerry handsets!! Now I've slotted in a business card so it's fine, but still not something I am pleased about.

This is what I have experienced as well. I'm on 10.2.1.1055... It is very strange.. It hasn't happened before and I bought it at launch... Until recently. I've been loading leaked OS' since as long as I can remember.. Now it is happening very frequently.
