With a screen similar to the upcoming "R10" and Z10?



I've read that the little to no space in between the keyboard and screen has made it difficult to properly execute gestures. Is anyone experiencing this? And do you think BlackBerry would or should update the Q10 hardware to address this? I kind of wished they had made the "R10" screen like the Q10, BlackBerry logo up-top.

I am not having any problems. With the fret and the keyboard, you just start the gestures with your thumb resting above the top row of keys or on the top fret.

I think the problems you are seeing on early videos was probably inexperience with the device.

No problems with the space between keyboard & screen on the Q10. People just like being fussy. They go on for ages they can't wait for this phone then when they do they pin point faults that aren't even there. Sad.

There is absolutely NO problem with the small bezel on the Q10. This is a myth that started from earlier videos when the swiping features on the pre-release Q10 probably wasn't fully developed.

The R10 reminds me A LOT of the Palm Pixi, without using one (not available yet), I say leave the design of the Q alone personally I like the current look better than the R

It does. I personally LOVE the Q10 design, no problems I've seen on my lady's Q10. Like I said before I actually prefer if the R10 would have been designed like the Q10, BlackBerry logo up-top with smaller bezel.

Never said it wasn't, I love the Q10. My girl has been using it for a few days now, unlocked Telus on Straight Talk, and it's been great!

Gee this old fixation (chesnut). I haven't had this problem and don't find it awkward to swipe up.

Nope, not at all. The Q10 is fine as it is. The only issue is the lack of sensitivity at the edge of the bezel. Not sure having a huge logo between keyboard and screen will help.

The 9900 was much the same, with hardware buttons right on the edge of the screen.
