Is there a way to add files to the Q10 Home Screen similar to the way website shortcuts can be added?

I would like to put a PDF document directly onto my Home Screen so I don't have to navigate through the File Manager.

I am using an AT&T Q10 running BlackBerry OS 10.3.2.556.

Yep, you can do all sorts with the homescreen,

I've a free version with limited uses:

Or you can still use the Universal Search feature from the HomeScreen : just type "pdf" followed by one keyword from the filename, and voila.

Note that you will probably have to disabled the Full Assistance to get it to work faster...

I use an ap called Shortcuts Creator for that. Yes you need to pay, but it's not much. I never looked into free alternatives.

You can also open the pdf viewer instead of file manager and select your file. 2 steps, but faster than going through file manager.
