If you got a notification on your device, go to settings, software updates and and download it there. Make sure your battery is charged and you have a good WiFi connection.

I went onto bblink. Click the upgrade. Gets to 17% then stops.

Try turning off network or put it in airplane mode and see if it will load.

Nah,everything running fine. Plenty of memory. No games or anything.

Well this sucks. Can't get past 17% on the link. And not showing up on the device. I even tried reloading the link. I give up.

Don't know hiw to post but I'll write it. 16gb total,2gb free storage. 0kbvideos , Picts
19.8mb documents. 3.1mb music 51 kb. Other data 13.9gb

You have the "other data" problem it appears. Not enough room for the install.

When you do get OTA chance, before the install even begins it will probably tell you to free up some storage by deleting apps or moving files. You won't be succesful, and will look around for options all over CrackBerry. Search for "other data" and you'll see what I mean.

Wait for someone else to chime in and verify, but I believe you will have to do a wipe/reload OS - - or possibly an autoloader install of this new OS might accomplish the same thing.

I believe I read on one of the posts here you need like 2.4 GB of free storage to down load the update even though the download wasn't that much.

You can get rid of some apps and reinstall them after update?

Usually not enough to clear "other data"/allow space. I uninstalled apps, moved pictures /videos / files and my other data barely budged. Other data actually went up as a result of an interrupted OS upgrade. Just waiting for time this weekend to do the factory reset (or autoloader if that's a better solution). Just have to verify all my good data/contacts are safely backed up or otherwise retained.

Soooo, I deleted a few apps and odds and ends got the free bb up to 2.4. And the update loaded. Now time to relearn.
