I've just installed 10.2 on my Q10 (Rogers). Works well. The only thing I have run into is that cannot set LIGHT theme on CONTACTS. Always reverts to DARK. Perhaps I am doing it worng or is there bug ? I enable LIGHT, close the app. Reopen the app. Always DARK. On BBM, Calendar, no problem. Just doesnt seem to work on CONTACTS.

I sometimes have that problem with contacts but I assumed it was because I am running a leak (1725) and not the official 1791. If you close the app again and open does it switch right away? That's what I find. I have to close and open a few times occasionally to make it stick.

Not a good answer for ya but it is what it is, unfortunately.

Ya that's pretty much it. I am on official 10.2 now. Still it's spotty at best. Works then doesn't.

Haha I wanted it to be black theme but it doesn't seem to work! I'm on official 10.2 after a successful download! Yeah?!

One overlooked dark theme built-in app in my 10 Z10 STL100-1 running on 10.2.0.1791 is the password manager! With that we have 5 built-in BB apps that can be turned to dark theme:
- Contacts
- Calendar
- Text Messages (SMS)
- BBM Channels which includes BBM (this is not built-in, but downloaded from Beta Zone, although it improves built-in BBM)
- Password Manager

It's a bug in 1791, BlackBerry are aware of it.

Go to setting, app manager, device monitor, then end the app and it should work.

There are settings in each individual application. Not everything has the option to choose.

Why is that? I can't stand the light theme but I am willing to give it ago again. Wondering why you dislike the dark theme so much.

I don't like it because I have trouble reading with it. I find things to appear more cramped and it just seems so... dark, in the other sense. Mind you, I do have my text size set to 5, but I have no trouble with that when it's on light theme and I have my glasses on.

The lack of a light theme is actually the primary reason I don't really use the Remember application, which is actually excellent.

In certain cases I like the dark theme, like with the text messages in the Hub. That might be because of the text bubbles.

I'm on 10.2.1.1055 (leaked), the setting (dark/light theme) is persistent throughout closing and reopening the app.
