Yes it does seem to be February... so you are right about that.

Price drop.... don't remember any kinda of official announcement that the price would be dropping in February. Many have hoped it would.

But when T-Mobile launched at full price, that was an indication that no price drop was coming soon. Have to see what happens with the Verizon launch - whenever that is....

Actually, from the India launch, all we've seen so far is a significant price increase. 😜

Since I already own it, I'm glad there hasn't been a price drop, helps a lot with resale value.

It's not about selling well or not. MWC is now around the corner, competitor's new products are pouring in fast and furious.

If demand for your product is still high the price will remain high as long as supply is limited. Furthermore, it's a unique niche device and therefore has no direct competitor, so pricing should reflect that

that is true; however a price drop will give more incentives to people who are on the fence about buying it or who can't justify the price.

Which means, to me, they must be selling within BB's projected plan so they don't care about people sitting on the fence or who can't justify the price because they're making enough money selling them at their current price. It's not about market share since they don't have to convince developers to adopt their ecosystem, it's about making money.

True, they must be selling well enough to keep the price high as it is. But missing out on more sales is not really a good thing

Exactly. A lost sale is a lost sale.
