Just wondering when the next BlackBerry event is or next time BlackBerry will actually tell us how well the Priv is selling compared to:

1. Previous BlackBerry 10 devices
2. IPhone 6S
3. Other flagship androids.

this quarter ends on 28 nov and the next fiscal event will be on 18 dec, so i guess we will know if the demand was actually high or just low demand paired with even lower supply

There is absolutely no way we are close to the iPhone in terms of sales volume. The target is just a few million. Apple sells that many in a day. The good news is the demand is greater than they planned inventory for.

If it's awesome they will say at the next quarterly meeting. However I doubt the next one because it won't be a full quarter yet of Priv.

If it is doing horribly and we BlackBerry shuts down that is a good enough indicator that the device sold poorly...

They still have a massive cash reserve.
It's unlikely you'll find out from Blackberry how the Priv does since they never give out that info.
Blackberry still has enough to bring out more devices even if the Priv bombs

They have a large cash reserve yes. But that won't save the device business. Chen said the market will dictate that. He's willing to give it up.

Don't think they have sold enough PRIV to make a substantial uptick in device sales for the end of Nov. They will be doing good just to arrest the decline trend this quarter. Last quarter 800k, this quarter 600k BB + 200K Android something like that tho they won't break it out just total sales.
