I keep hearing throughout the forums that the Marshmallow update will bring a lot more features to the Priv and help fix a lot of issues or usability flows.

Can anyone describe in more detail what this update is expected to bring?

    Thanks!

Doesn't seem like it's bringing too much to a lot as many that were promised are still waiting.

Being finally able to selectively disable the various permission settings is the biggest thing.

It will help make the Dtek app on the Priv much more useful.

Had that for years on my now old S3. It's an app called Pdroid. There are others. Not only do they allow you to choose but also reveal the full extent of permissions being asked. It's amazing how much mundane apps want to know.

I'm currently running 6.0 on an Xperia Z3 and the biggest difference from 5.1 is speed and of course Doze val though Sony had a battery saving life already called Stamina. When you Cut and Paste you will have the options just above exactly like BlackBerry 10 which is nice.

Doze works amazingly well. My nexus tablet used to require charging after 2 days of standby when running lollipop. Now on marshmallow, it lasts for almost a week.

The app permissions is a pretty big feature, especially for us blackberry users

Since the weekend, I'm running CM13 nightlies on my OnePlus One. That's Marshmallow. These are very early builds, so there are bugs, and I'm okay with that. It's similar to using low-number BB10 leaks; you take your chances.

I'll say this, though: As of yesterday's build, battery life on my OPO is now better than what I've been getting on my Passport, even though the Passport's battery is 3450 mAh, compared to the OPO's 3100. On Lollipop, the two phones were roughly equal in daily battery life. Marshmallow has dropped the idle discharge rate to about 1.7%/hour. I think Priv users will be very pleased, with that aspect at least, when Marshmallow rolls out.
