Just wondering what email app you're using with your PRIV? Hub? Gmail?

I adore the hub on BB10 but find it a bit slow on PRIV relative to Gmail and others. I go back to it every now and again though.

I'm new to blackberry and the Hub seems interesting, but could someone explain why I wouldn't just use the Gmail app?

I think, Steve, some people would say that the threaded emails in the Gmail app make them uncomfortable. Occasionally emails can hey misgrouped and it's hard to find and reply to individual emails in a thread quickly. In Hub you can turn this off.

LOL, really? Someone actually uses that? Funny.

    Hub, obviously.

On non BlackBerry Androids, Nine, clearly.

Gmail doesn't integrate emails, texts, BBM, WhatsApp, FaceBook and LinkedIn messages or notifications in one place.

    Hub does.

Hub for so many reasons besides email, you can access calendar by pulling down screen within hub. Texting, FB, Linkedin, Twitter, BBM, Whatsapp, call logs , etc etc.
Also easiest email app to attach docs direct to SD card.
My Gmail finally works very well along with my outlook accounts.
What other email app does all that?

For me the main reason to never use the Gmail app on any phone is the fact that Google does not allow coversation view to be turned off like it does on the Gmail web email interface. BlackBerry at least on BB10 and I would assume the Priv, allows you to choose how to display emails -- individually or in grouped conversation views.

Does the Gmail app allow you to add non Gmail addresses like outlook/Hotmail?

I disabled it and never plan to use it, but I am curious.

I like how Hub allows emails to be shown as sent (check mark) and inbox (envelope) in same list. No going back and forth between those two folders.
Gmail app only seems to save docs to device (downloads) then you have to transfer to SD card. This applies to most email apps. Hub gives you choice where to save and remembers last place saved.

Yes this is a bizarre stubbornness considering they allow it to be turned off on the iOS app.

Hub: I have 5 email addresses in the Hub (ActiveSync, IMAP & POP). I like having the ability to see only flagged emails or emails with attachments across all accounts or only on a single account. I can't imagine any other way of doing email!

Waiting for proper integration of SMS. I have all the spawned message apps when I'm having a back-and-forth.

Many things. No offline support for one. No turning off idiotic conversation mode in Exchange for two. It's a horrendous app.

For exchange email, Nine by 9Folders Inc. Easily the best exchange email app on Android, hands down. I unfortunately have disabled BlackBerry services, Hub and device search until a faster and less battery sucking version is released. My battery is much, much better now and the phone is quicker. I've added my Nine app to the device's swipe shortcut, so I can get to my email with a quick swipe up to the right. No app icon on the screen. I use Cloud Magic for personal email. Would love for Hub to be the one and only, but it's just not that good yet when compared to other options.

And I've also disabled Gmail because it sucks.
