So I tried to reset my Priv back to factory specs. Upon rebooting, it arrives at an encryption screen, and it starts at 10:00 and gets down to 00:00. Then it hangs for hours.

Tried it again after skipping through the setup. Starts at 00:00 and hangs again.

What's going on here? Should I be worried about previously encrypted data being accessible to another user? Why isn't the screen completing? Could it take a day?

I did a reset today and it hung for a few hours at 00:00. I finally just pressed and held the power button until it kicked out of this. It then went ahead and booted fine. Hopefully this helps. I can't imagine it would boot up if there was an encryption issue.

Yeah, I did the same. Seems fine. Guess it's just one of those things that is sure to improve. But this is an Android function, not a BlackBerry one, eh?

Glad it is solved! Who knew one needs to hard reset after a factory reset.
