Not the best forum to post this message, but I already know I'm not going to get an definitive answer so it's more of a rant.

25-30 app updates a week on my phone? BB Apps updated like 3-5 times in the past 2-3 weeks. What exactly is going on.

I know it's all a good thing, but my gawd, I can't get through a day with out 3-5 apps getting updates. I guess the world is a scary place.

Kind of depends on what Apps you use. Yes app updates are much more frequent on Android then BB10 but i don't get 5 a day myself.

I, too, find it a bit much. Each and every day there's one or two apps that are upgraded.

It's not a real big deal since it automatically updates but it does raise questions about QA with the rapid patches.

The Playstore makes it very easy for devs to push updates and allows granularity to OS versions and devices to control who gets it and when. Plus BB apps are fairly new. Established apps don't get updates as often unless they are pushing new features or have a huge amount of devs devoted to it.

I think it's encouraging to see developers actually updating and patching their apps, as opposed to abandoning or never supporting the platform in the first place.

    This^

Seemed I could go six months without an update on BB10 bbworld. Welcome to the world of supported apps!

This is why I turn off auto-updates. I do manual updates once a week when i`m bored, if an app has an issue, i`ll go looking for an update if necessary. (this is rare)

I think updates are a good thing. Means someone, somewhere is actively working on their app. Given a choice of which app to install and try, I'd pick the one recently updated, rather than the one not touched over the past year or so.
