Hey folks hoping someone can help here- I recently had to get a new Priv (same model, just a different physical phone) and am trying to save my text message history on the phone I'm sending back. I could either transfer the texts from the old phone to the new phone or from the old phone to a computer, either is fine with me.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I used sms back up and restore from the play store to transfer from one device to the next. It worked flawlessly.

Either the sms backup and restore as previously stated or the preloaded content transfer app will do it.

From what I've read, Content Transfer is limited to how many old messages it can transfer - something like 3,500 which might be sufficient for many users - it was for me.
