    ... can you please try updating your phone to AAE723 without a SIM or an AT&T SIM in the phone, if you haven't updated or got the notification yet?

    Genuinely curious if it's just AT&T which has the SIM update problem.

    I took the SIM card out mid-download and it would not download... seemed to freeze on the prompt 'Waiting for download', reloaded the SIM and the download restarted immediately...

    Interesting finding... so then I don't understand why BlackBerry made that "bypass carrier" claim then, if they choose to implement updates this way.
