Purchased the Tetded case which arrived today. Up to now I've been using the BlackBerry version. Reasons why I switched?
    - I found the BlackBerry case does not protect the camera lens very well. I mean there is barely any clearance between the case and the lens such that if you were to place the phone (with case) on a table, the smallest grit could still potentially scratch the lens. Before, I didnt think too much about camera lenses in phones past. But the Priv camera is pretty good, so it's worth protecting.
-Lack of secure closure. I've always been weary of drops. And there is no secure closure of the front flap. If the phone were to be dropped, there's always the chance of the flap opening and the phone landing on its face.

    Now, the Tetded case:
-Top quality leather! Smell the leatherness!
-The case has a nice foamy layer to protect the back of the phone.
-Clasp is magnetic and secures the front flap in case of a fall.
-The phone goes into sleep when the clasp is in place.
    -Phenomenal quality!
-Camera lens is more deeply recessed and better protected.
-Front and back flaps are padded.
-All sides of the phone are well protected.

The only drawback is that the front window is no longer accessible of course, but I didnt use it a whole lot anyways.

Overall, phenomenal quality and really gives the Priv that professional look.

How do you hold that thing to your ear during a call?

Wouldn't folding the case back to be able to grip it wear the leather into cracking pretty quick?

Good question. Can't say as I've yet to take a call with the case on; I just got it this afternoon!

But as this is real leather (unlike vinyl), I'm not so worried about it cracking. The grease from your hands should be enough to keep the leather nice and lubed.

Great looking case and I'm sure the leather is top notch. For me, I'm all about functionality so the lack of a window kills it for me. I love my OEM BlackBerry flip case so far.

Now I should have got that case! I got the Tedted skin which is still very nice but I dropped the phone and the screen cracked, now I'm left with a very expensive paperweight as there aren't any screen replacements out there 😣 if I had this my screen would have been protected. Smart purchase!

I just ordered this, thanks to your review. I have the BlackBerry holster, but find it a bit tight and I don't use it very often. I've had Tetded cases before and found them to be of the highest quality. Looking forward to it!

A little late for should haves. This is the first time I've ever broken my cell, of course it had to happen to the most expensive phone I've ever purchased..... Lesson learned, only buying flip phones from now on!

I edited my original post to mention that the front flap, when swung wide open and the phone is in use, is secured by the reverse side of the magnetic clasp. See pics.

Looks bulkier than the official BlackBerry flip case which seems a lot slimmer and sleek looking. Appreciate the review but will pass. I guess this is the first BlackBerry case I've really enjoyed using to be honest.

I agree. I put them on all three of my Passports as soon as Tetded started having them available for this BB. They are well worth the money, and have stood up to the daily use, with no cracking. Even with folding it back for talking on the phone.

If the offical BlackBerry Leather case I bought falls apart you have given me another option. Your case has a "day planner" look to it which definitely will add appeal for the professional user.
