The August security update was released August 26th. It should be build AAG153

I just got the August security update as well.....here is the strange part......I have one of those unlocked AT&T units that everyone is complaining about. I am on Wind mobile in Canada, so this is the first time I received any OTA.

Did BB actually carrier unlock these devices now? It also appears that the AT&T boot up logo is gone!

I haven't been on the forums for awhile, so did I miss something?

I to have one of these At&t branded unlocked phones. From what I've read no news has leaked out about these phones.

Are you on AT&T?. I read on these forums you need to have a valid AT&T sim to get OTA's, but now it appears to not be the case. Again, this is the first OTA I have ever received. I was on WiFi when I got it and had my Wind mobile sim installed.......something has changed!

So patches are still carrier dependent, eh? Great. Still have to wait I guess. Still running build AAG111.

I'm on Cricket Wireless. My OTA updates only come in when I put my Active At&t Sim card in via Wifi.

Perhaps BlackBerry bypassed At&t on this one to make sure the PRIV was protected against those 5 security issues

the other thing I can confirm is that the AT&T boot up logo is now gone. My phone is now acting like a fully factory unlocked Priv.

I am not sure when this happened as I installed the MM auto loader back in July and still could not get OTA's and the boot up logo was still there. Is there a change log I can check?

Hi guys! After reading your posts here, got enuff confidence to order at&t unlocked from ebay. It's available for about 50% of the price of the factory unlocked ones. I am in india and updates are not carrier dependant here. Should it work to upgrade it to android M? Or should I organise an at&t sim (loaded with some international data) before I order my imported unlocked at&t?

I tried the autoloader with an att priv and i cannot tell you how easy it was. It took 10mins to download the zip file anf only 3 mins to update the priv. Its just amazing and i didnt even use any sim card. So no need to buy an att sim card

I am reluctant, because AT&T takes literally forever to get updates out. They are usually 2-3 generations of updates back. I like unlocked and carrier free.
