[WARN]Please stay on topic! This thread is about the security update for the Priv -- who received it, when, how, etc.

This is not a thread to debate BlackBerry 10 vs. BlackBerry Priv security! Those posts (and where they were quoted) have been deleted.

Members who dislike the Priv (for whatever reason) are advised to move on to another thread.[/WARN]

Yes, now they are both online and again it's again mainly stagefright like mediaserver patching. This seems to be the buggiest piece of android software.

I don't know if this is because of the system update today, but after the update I made a hard disconnect by pressing the power button for around 40 seconds. After the phone restarted, I charged the battery for 20 minutes in order to cool down the processor. Now the battery life seem to be improved a lot. I browsed for 20 minutes here in the forum and I lost only 2%.

Build number is now AAD444, which I imagine is similar to T-Mobile's official latest build, AAD442.

    https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-24554
Build # on my Bell Mobility Priv (model STV100-3) is at AAD250 as of this moment.

I just had a look at our Samsung Notes which hasn't had an update since last year and it still says "The latest updates have already been installed" LOL

Probably all in my head. But post update/reboot and off charge at 13:45h (2 hrs and 30 minutes ago, albeit light usage), then 10 minutes of talk time, 14 minutes of screen time down only 6% to 94%! Not bad!

Actually, Nexus devices were updated a few days ago:
    https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images

But OTA has yet to be circulated among the devices.

Which is basically the same as not being updated yet since most people wait for OTA - LOL

This is not just a security patch. All other things remaining equal, I would be down to 50% battery after a typical work shift with light usage. Today I was 80% after shift.

I agree they must have done some power optimizations or something because my battery life seems to gotten a lot better after this update
